THE WORK
Upon conducting a full website audit of the Citrix Synergy website, from the year before, we've outlined a number of elements that would have dragged down the website's UX and ultimately could have resulted in failed micro and macro conversions, as well as a high bounce rate. We've split these issues into two categories: those that had to be fixed, as a given, and those that would act as a bonus, to an already functional process or a call-to-action.
The urgent fixes included misaligned or non-operational links, overlapping text, due to poor adaptive capabilities, a hard-coded navigation bar and poorly configured navigation menu. We've implemented a number of back-end fixes, to ensure that all links were correctly linked and all elements were aligned.
The additional fixes served as a finishing touch, to ensure that the website would provide a visually appealing and easy to navigate customer journey. We've made fixes to the responsive capabilities of the website, ensuring that it looked readable and visually enticing on all screen sizes.
THE BRIEF
Citrix is an American multinational software company that provides server, application and desktop virtualization, networking, software as a service, and cloud computing technologies. With annual revenue of $3.28 billion (2015), Citrix solutions are in use by more than 400,000 organisations and over 100 million users globally.
Citrix has come to us with a need for a back-end solution, for Citrix Synergy - a premier industry conference on digital business transformation. We've been tasked with building a flexible CMS back-end solution, as well as designing and implementing the front-end look.
THE RESULT
We've built the website using Adobe Experience Manager and Java Software, as well as Foundation framework for front-end. The flexible CMS allowed the administrators to set up complex workflows of content management processes, using multi-tiered access levels. We've also integrated a solution, that allowed for real-time text translation, for website visitors, during live streams.
The front-end has been optimised, to improve UI/UX, resulting in boosted performance metrics such as bounce rate, average session duration and social media click through. We've added elements such as parallax scrolling, rich-media content and easily accessible social media icons, as well as overall improvements to the website look and feel.
